Manchester City beat Inter Milan 1-0 to Win UEFA Champions League Final

Pep Guardiola's side had a slow start but found their way through to beat Inter Milan 1-0 to win UEFA Champions League 2023.
Kevin De Bruyne walked off in the first half over an injury forcing Pep to bring on Phil Foden.

Inter Milan tactics were top notch and solid holding off Manchester City.

On 68' minute Bernardo Silva sliced a cross in the box which was deflected towards Rodri's who directed the ball directly towards the corner of the goalpost.

Enderson was forced to stretch at the last minute to save City's and see off the tough game.

The Italian side had chunk of chances but failed to grab them. Romeo Lukaku found himself in an open chance to equalize but squandered it. Dimarco who plays as a left back for Inter Milan hit the cross bar.

"This is a dream come true for all of us. It wasn't easy. What a team we faced, the way they defend and counter-attack. We gave everything. I wasn't good in the first half, I was playing shambles.

"Finals are like this. You can't expect to play well as always. Emotions and nerves are there. We competed like animals.

We want more. More ambition. It's a dream. This moment will never happen again. We hope next year but we deserve to celebrate," Rodri said.

Manchester City now becomes the second England's side to win a treble since Manchester United who did it way back in 1999 under Sir Alex Ferguson.

It was a historical moment for Manchester City for winning their first UEFA Champions League.
