Tales of Juthi Juthi, Pogii The Screwer and The Good Man

Based on True Story. In the last regime, we managed to witness some crazy things unfold. The Governor appointed his CECs after conducting the interviews using Deloitte. He submitted the names to the assembly for vetting and approval. Several CECs were rejected by the assembly. The CECs were left hanging for almost a year in the streets. One MCA was involved in a tragic accident, the person who helped him in the hospital was a CEC he participated in rejecting his name during the vetting. As they "Tenda Wema Nenda Zako". The MCA learnt a big lesson the hard way. Several months later the CEC with his peers were vetted again and approved by the same assembly. The injured MCA might have chosen to repay him this way. The no nonsense CECs worked tirelessly trying to bring reforms in their respective departments without fear or favour. They fallout with their bosses namely "Pogii and Juthi Juthi". Elites who are experts in their fields do hate micromanaging. There was...

Laikipia Jumbo Crisis

Image
Human Wildlife is a perennial problem in Laikipia County  On 2rd September, Peter Njoroge, 52 years was trampled by an elephant as they walked to Mugumo Shopping Centre in Segera Ward. 13th October, Mzee Githua Waeru Kamoche, 76 was trampled to death by marauding elephants from the neighbouring South Marmanet forest. Where are those leaders who were busy saying that they would solve this issue of Human Wildlife Conflict during campaigns?  Does it mean they no longer watch the news? Check their social media platforms they all are quiet.  Nowadays it's very normal to be killed an elephant in this county.  What is the ultimate solution because electing new leaders does not change anything.

Try Ojimeme

Don't joke with the "untouchables".  They can do anything because they are pro-leadership.  If a 75 years old cucu can be locked up and fed with a mixture of monocotyledon dust (ugali) because of land tussle what about someone who tries to protest against them? They are untouchables. If you are a man you will be abducted, your balls squeezed and if you are a lady your boobs will be plucked like managu. No one will seek justice because you will be past tense. When you saw me raising a concern over intimidation and lawlessness you thought I am highly intoxicated with mnyangate. You will witness more crazy things. Now you understand why  our roots and culture are important. In such a land tussle I have witnessed lightning and thunderstorms striking in broad daylight. Permanent solutions are needed in such scenarios. Let the Late Jehova Wanyonyi screw someone without mercy.  OJIMEME is the only best way to solve this issue permanently. She is actually safe in the ugali b...

Shamba System

Image
Plantation Establishment and Livelihood Improvement System (PELIS) was introduced in 2007 after enactment of Forest Act, 2005       Photo: A section of Marmanet Forest  His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua is on the right path.  PELIS(Shamba System) was so helpful to many people living around the forests.  Logging and timber harvesting was also banned in 2018. This left saw millers high and dry.  The trees they were supposed to harvest rotted long ago.  Why should a country with good soils and climate import wood from China, Egypt, Arab Rep., India, Tanzania and United Kingdom yet we can grow fast growing trees like Cypress using PELIS?  Cypress tree takes at least 5 years to mature. It has a rotational age of 28 years and within this time thinning is done 4 times before final crop. "The shamba system is a way to afforest land where exotic trees have been cut for timber. The community benefits from being able to plant crops in exc...

Roots of Banditry in Laikipia

Image
Insecurity in Laikipia has been a real issue since independence. Many people have lost their properties and others have lost lives through the perennial conflicts within this region. Banditry is an ancient ordeal but it has to be dealt with once and for all for the sake of humanity Missing Cow in Rumuruti, Laikipia County  Why do pastoral communities in Laikipia County always dwell in conflicts? Who is behind all this? Some of the predisposing factors:- BEEF CARTELS:- Beef is gold. The cost of 1 kg of beef is five times higher than 1 litre of petrol. There is high demand for beef due to population increase. The beef cartels will always wish to access the beef at throw away prices . They will always capitalize on the inter communal conflicts to get the beef through cattle rustling. The big question is who are these beef cartels? Where are they? Just ask yourself how cows are stolen in herds and you can never trace them, how ? GUN MERCHANTS:- This is one very sensitive iss...

Deep State or Deep Stake

African countries have been always on the lame light over megalomaniacs who cling to power for decades. Kenya has set a good example to the whole world on that Africans are maturing democratically.         A photo of Mt. Kenya East Africa The country went into heated campaigns for several months as each candidate tried to hawk his or her agendas. It was a historic exercise that oversaw the election of leaders peacefully across the nation without any sort of conflicts. The leaders who had issues went to court to protest the outcome. This is commendable to a country that has always been in crisis during the electioneering period.  The deployed of state mercenary by the outgoing president to weaken the support base of his former ally turned futile as the locals stood firm and supported him to the end. This marked the end of the big families in Kenya's politics since independence. It was a big milestone that can be referred to as an eye opener to other Africa...
