Sports Tribunal Halts Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) Elections

The current Kenya Volleyball Federation officials term extended for three months after Sports Dispute Tribunal ruling on 28th April, 2023
 
Ohaga's led SDT suspended KVF's Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was scheduled for Saturday 29th April, 2023

SDT directed that branch elections of the sport must be held first before the Annual General Meeting.

Kenya Volleyball Federation was faulted for failing to adhere to the federation's laws. 

Therefore SDT ordered elections of the National Executive Committee (NEC) be held within the next 90 days to avoid Kenya being locked out of international sports events.

The next Annual General Meeting will be held on July 29 when the National Executive Committee (NEC) will be elected. 

Kenya Volleyball Federation sent out a circular.

"As you may be aware, there was a proceeding on the above subject matter (Sports Dispute Tribunal Outcome)."

The tribunal acknowledged the role of educational institutions as the breeding grounds for national stars in the sport, then directed they participate in the national event.

The Sports Dispute Tribunal directed that members who must participate in the KVF polls are the new
 (a) County-based branches, 
 
 (b) Registered clubs, 
 
 (c) Kenya Secondary School Sports Associations (KSSSA), 
 
 (d) Kenya Primary Schools Sports Associations (KPSSA) and 
 
 (e)Kenya Universities Sports Association.
